Pentagon Sheffield Donate Auris Hybrid to Cystic Fibrosis Centre staff, Sheffield Hospital
Pentagon Toyota Sheffield presented a new lease car on Tuesday 13th September 2011 to staff working at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, to enable them to provide valuable treatment at home to patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
Over 150 patients across South Yorkshire are currently cared for by the Unit and are often required to come into hospital to help with the management of their condition.
Access to the new car will mean staff can visit them in the comfort of their own home to provide a range of essential nursing and therapy treatment. This will reduce the number of visits to hospital and help patients lead a more normal a life.
David Reynolds, Director at Sheffield Hospitals Charity who officially received the car said: “I would like to personally thank Pentagon Toyota for their generous gift. The aim of the Charity is to improve the experience of patients and access to the car will contribute to achieving this.”
Dr Frank Edenborough, Consultant Physician in Respiratory andAdult Cystic Fibrosis Medicine at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, said: “We are extremely grateful to Pentagon Toyota for kindly donating one of their lease cars to us to use. I know that this will make a huge difference to our patients. It will provide them with access to additional support, when they need it and help reduce the requirement for them to come into hospital.”
Glyn Holmes, General Manager of Pentagon Toyota Sheffield, said:” As soon as we were approached by Sheffield Hospitals Charity to see if we could help out, we did not hesitate. Providing access to one of our cars enables us to contribute to improving the lives of patients in the local area.”
The Toyota Auris Hybrid T4 model was chosen for use by the team as it has very low emissions and will also help support the Trust’s ongoing commitment to reduce its carbon footprint.

Screwball Rally - charity fundraising event
Pentagon have donated a vehicle to a team of motoring enthusiasts aiming to take part in the Screwball Rally. The journey will start in Dover before the team venture through Germany, Czech Republic, Holland and France. The team will be raising money for the Rotherham Mayors Charities which include the
Rotherham Macmillan Cancer Support,
Rotherham Alzheimers Society and Rotherham's Children Trust.
